Kids To The Country, (KTC) is a successful and innovative youth program, that has brought more than 2,800 disadvantaged children from Nashville and Middle Tennessee to The Farm, a community which sits on 1,750 acres of beautiful fields and woods located on the rim of the Nashville Basin near
Summertown, Tennessee.
|
|
| On The Farm the kids swim, canoe, ride horses, make crafts, hike through and study the unique native landscape, walk in creeks, garden, star gaze, play musical instruments, tell stories and bond with new friends.
Since 1986 the youth have come from homeless shelters, low income neighborhoods, refugee centers, churches and urban programs. |

OUR MISSION
Kids To The Country's mission is:
- to create a multicultural exchange in a rural setting for at risk children,
- to build a positive sense of community through nonviolent conflict resolution skills.
- to promote the growth of healthy relationships between the children.
- to structure activities that instill lasting feelings of accomplishment and self esteem in each child.
The nature school curriculum helps the youth develop a connection with the environment through direct experience that provides them with an enriched worldview.

|
| OUR GOALS
