When To Visit

The "Tourist" Season is considered to begin in October and end in May. This is the dry season and many people come to Belize to escape the cold days of winter. Tourist areas such as beach resort towns such as San Pedro and Placencia double their prices, however our prices remain constant throughout the year.

The so-called "rainy" season can actually be a very nice time to visit. Most of time it rains only at night and very seldom does it rain for more than a couple of hours during the day. The rains bring cooler temperatures and make everything lush and green and flowers burst into bloom. This is the primary farming season when more fruits and vegetables are available in the markets and restaurants. The rains also fill our rivers and streams, turning tranquil creeks into rushing torrents and gentle waterfalls into thunderous and spectacular masterpieces.

The best time to come is when it is the best time for you. If it's hot when you arrive make your plans to swim or enjoy the cool temperature of our caves. Wait out a shower with a craft lesson from our talented ladies in the villages. Let us know when you plan to make your journey and we'll help you plan a trip that we know you will enjoy, so that you will want to come back and tell your friends to come down too!
