Guatemala Water Project

This fall, Dennis Martin, who directed much of Plenty’s work in Guatemala in the late 1970s, will return and install a pump for a well in the Cakchiquel Maya village of Chimachoy. Men in the village hand dug the well to a depth of 280 ft. With the addition of an electric pump, this village of 700 will have an adequate potable water supply. We want to thank the Atlantic Design and Construction Co. for their funding of this project.
